When riding by the minute, you begin a running rental for a duration of your choosing, which is completed by locking your ride on the App using the lock icon on your App screen. To end your trip use the “end my ride” button, which becomes available after locking your scooter. Ride must be ended in an authorized parking location.

Our app, “Wave Co.”, is available in the App Store and allows you to rent a scooter of your own accord at any time of the day or evening. Coming to the shop in-person is ideal for those looking for assistance in utilizing the App, further training on how to ride a Wave, or those looking to rent a scooter for the day.

Search “Wave Co.” in your smartphone’s App Store, or reference one of the download links located on our website.

  1. After downloading the Wave Co. app, there is a simple login process for new users that must be completed before being able to rent a Wave. 
  2. Upon opening Wave Co. App, accept all requested permissions needed for our app to function, and click sign-up to enter your name, email, and desired password. 
  3. You will receive a code to your email from Lattis, which is used to confirm the entered email. 
  4. Once email is confirmed, tap “scan” at the bottom of your screen and locate a QR code on the handlebars of a scooter, and you will then be able to see your ride details. 
  5. Click continue to enter a credit/debit card for ride payment, and then continue again to enter and verify your phone number. 
  6. Now you are ready to ride. Enjoy your Ride! Once a rental has been started, you are free to ride by the minute as you please anywhere within the designated geofence. 
  7. End the Ride by locking your ride (with the lock icon on your active rental screen) in an authorized parking location, then ending your trip (with the “end my ride” button, which becomes available after locking your scooter). You will know your ride is successfully completed when you receive a trip summary.
An individual must be 18+ to rent a scooter without parental permission. An individual must be 12+ to ride a scooter with parental permission, while those under 12 are still able to ride but are not able to ride on the streets.
Our scooters go 17mph, and are equipped with “sport mode” allowing for the best and fastest scooter rental experience you will find.
If you are under the age of 19, Michigan Law requires the use of a helmet while riding.
Wave Co. keeps scooters charged and available for rental 24/7 via the app. Wave Co. is staffed during varying hours between 12pm-8pm or when appointments are scheduled.

A scooter can be rented in one of two ways: by making an appointment with Wave Co., or downloading the app and creating a profile. Scheduling an appointment to rent a scooter is best for those who have a large group, or those who do not have a phone they are able to download the app from. Downloading the app to rent a scooter is the ideal for those who wish to cruise late at night or anytime of your own accord.
Currently you are only able to rent one scooter per app. This means that any person riding with your group would need to download their own app and create their own profile, using separate personal information (such as email and phone number). However, you are able to use the same credit card across multiple accounts.

Your scooter rental must be returned to a designated parking location, which can be made visible by tapping the parking icon at the bottom right of your rental screen. Then proceed to lock and end your ride via the App.

You can ride a Wave by downloading the App or renting in-person. You are able to ride anywhere within our designated geofence, which becomes visible after initiating your rental on a scooter.
